Here at Debut's Canine Academy we believe training can be fun for the whole family--most especially the dog--but also everyone else.

Sarah E. Sexton
Sarah is the owner and lead trainer of Debut's Canine Academy. She studied dog training and the science of learning theory at the internationally known Karen Pryor Academy.
In addition to her work with dogs, Sarah also has over a decade and half of professional experience working various jobs with children. Focusing her dog training career on families with children is her way of combining the two.
Sarah lives in Howard County, MD, with her standard poodle, Oz.

Dogs are our family.
I believe dogs are members of the family, and should be treated with love and respect. Further, a dog's behavior has the ability to impact the whole family, for good or ill.
Meet everyone where they're at.
I believe in meeting both the dog and humans where they're at. It's okay if you've been taught things in the past that aren't up to date with the current science or best practices of dog training. It's okay if your dog hasn't had as much training as you would like by now. What matters is going forward.
We're never done learning.
Everyday brings new adventures, and as a professional dog trainer, I'm never done with my education. That's why I'm dedicated to continuing my education through professional Continuing Education programs.
